What educators are saying

This was EXACTLY what I needed for my Behavior Support groups! It can be challenging to teach kids how to "pay attention" in class since that's such a vague concept. This resource breaks this skill down into steps that are manageable and meaningful. LOVE IT!
This resource really helps my students to think through each skill and is highly engaging. We use them along with the read aloud stories resource. Thank you!

  • Teach for the whole class to help give a foundation of strong EF skills for every student.
  • Use one worksheet per day for morning meeting.
  • Provide as a targeted intervention for students in most need. While all students can benefit from learning strategies to strengthen executive functioning skills, some may need more of a boost than others.
  • Teach in a small group to provide extra support.

Why Teach Executive Functioning Skills?

Executive functioning skills are the building blocks for success. They help students plan, organize materials, get started with tasks, work through challenges, and problem-solve. These are skills that our students use in the classroom, with friends, and in their personal lives beyond school.

It's important to note that all kids, no matter the age, can learn improved executive functioning strategies. These lessons are specifically designed with more pictures, drawing, and simpler wording to allow younger learners to access executive functioning materials.

*** Materials focus on boosting skills and providing strategies. In turn, the goal is for students to feel empowered to do their best. Remember that each child is building their skills at their own pace!
