Expressing Emotions Classroom Guidance Lesson for Elementary School Counseling

This elementary school counseling classroom guidance lesson introduces students to the magical formula, or emotion potion, for sharing their feelings with others. Students practice stating their feelings, describing the scenario, and asking for what they would prefer to happen next time. Includes a PowerPoint presentation to introduce the concept with examples. Students then play magical chairs (much like musical chairs) to get even more practice with 20 given scenarios. Editable slides are included to create your own scenarios that fit for your students. Students work with a partner to discuss past situations and what they would do differently and create a quick reference flip book.
