Description

Need a snapshot of your students' fine motor skills? This two page printable checklist is print-and-go! It has columns for you to assess your children four times a year on each of the following:

  • FUNCTIONAL SKILLS (buttoning zipping, picking up objects with fingers, stringing beads, rolling playdough, etc.)
  • PRE-WRITING SKILLS (hand preferences, scribbling vs. coloring inside the lines, copying pre-writing strokes, tracing or writing letters/shapes/numbers, etc.)
  • SCISSORS SKILLS (showing hand preference, holding them correctly, tearing vs. cutting the paper, cutting a curve, cutting a zigzag, etc.)
  • PENCIL GRASP (4 photo examples so you can identify which one they are currently using)

There's no better way to track fine motor skills development and progress than to look at the BIG PICTURE multiples times a year. This is a great report to show parents and it's also perfect for helping you plan fine motor interventions and activities with targeted practice.
