Description

Vocabulary in Context is great for building vocabulary, applying learned vocabulary, comprehension, learning new information and fluency! These ten reading passages use real photographs to help support comprehension which is a great strategy if using for ELL's or intervention. This product is packed with 10 reading passages, (5 fiction and 5 nonfiction), vocabulary with definitions, fill in the blank application activities, and writing prompts. Answer keys for activities included! This resource is intended for grades 4-6 but can be used for other grade levels based on reading level!

This product includes:

10 Reading Passages- Each reading passage has 10 underlined vocabulary definitions. Word count for each reading passage is included on upper right hand corner of each passage

Vocabulary with definitions- 10 vocabulary words from each passage are defined based on how they are used in the text

Fill in the Blank-There are 10 fill in the blank activities to help apply each vocabulary word. Answer keys included at end of resource!

Writing Prompts-There is one writing prompt for each story that will utilize a vocabulary word practiced from the text, as well as help to assess comprehension.
