What educators are saying

My students loved using this resource and putting it together. This was a great wrap up activity to review some different food chains.
This resource was so amazing. It was very helpful with teaching my 1st graders more about the food chain.

    Description

Introduce your students to food chains from different habitats with this fun slide show presentation and differentiated foldable activities. Use the presentation (included for both PowerPoint and Google Slides), before children construct their foldout for a chosen habitat (woodland, rainforest, or ocean).

Use as an introductory lesson to food chains for first or second grade students, or as part of a wider science unit.

    Here's what's included in this mini-bundle:

    - 27-slide presentation with moving arrows, realistic images, and editable body text for both PowerPoint and Google Slides.

    - Printable foldout templates for food chains in 3 different habitats - woodland, ocean, and rainforest.

For the latter, there are 4 options included:

    1. Color the pre-designed template (with animals and plants already included), cut, and fold.

    2. Color the food chain, sequence the animals/plants to show who eats who, glue them onto the template, cut, and fold.

    3. Students draw their own food chain on a black and white template, cut and fold.

    4. Students draw their own food chain on a pre-colored template, cut and fold.

Once folded, students can hide their food chain by bringing the 2 halves of the template together, then gently pull apart to reveal the inside (see preview video).
