Fractional Parts Math Stations

This second grade fractions (fractional parts) math station set is a no frills all action product meant to cement students' knowledge of fractional parts in reference to their size relating to their value for standardized testing. All ten of the activities included were created entirely in black and white to save on colored ink, and make for easy use of the copy machine.

I use these activities in class and with my testing study group after school.

It was created with the following standards in mind:

TEKS
2.3A partition objects into equal parts and name the parts, including halves, fourths, and eighths, using words
2.3B explain that the more fractional parts used to make a whole, the smaller the part; and the fewer the fractional parts, the larger the part
2.3C use concrete models to count fractional parts beyond one whole using words and recognize how many parts it takes to equal one whole
2.3D identify examples and non-examples of halves, fourths, and eighths

All of the activities included are designed to be used to fill in any gaps that students may have understanding how to determine the relative value of a fractional part based on its size.
