Description
This elementary school counseling classroom guidance lesson introduces students to components of an effective goal! In a silly activity, show students that we can't just wave a magic wand and expect our goals to be magically achieved; we must set goals and keep working toward them. Students engage in cooperative activity to practice setting an effective goal and then set their own academic and social/emotional goals for the year.
Additional materials needed: small bathroom cups and index cards.
Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline/script, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), ready-to-show PowerPoint, student flip book, 2 options for student handout in color and black/white, and objectives assessment checklist.
