We loved this resource. We learned about 3 people a day and then they chose who they wanted to write about. It was perfect for Hispanic Heritage month!

Description

Honor Hispanic Heritage Month with this eye-catching, print & post bulletin board with optional student activities included. These colorful 8.5 x 11 posters for a bulletin board or wall display celebrate 25 influential and diverse figures from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries from a wide variety of backgrounds and fields (see full list below). Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15-October 15, and you can use this bulletin board for the full month year after year.

In addition to the 25 important figure pages to print and display, this resource contains a page to use as the title of the bulletin board OR individual letters that spell “Hispanic Heritage Month.” You can use all or part of this resource for your display in your classroom or hallway. Make it work best for you and your students.

There also are three optional activities you can use with your students to make this bulletin board display more interactive during Hispanic Heritage Month.

Another option for you is to highlight one important figure per school day during the month of September 15-October 15. Since there are 25 important individuals included in this resource, that is enough for one per school day during Hispanic Heritage Month.

A NOTE ON LANGUAGE

This resource uses the term "Hispanic" in reference to "Hispanic Heritage Month" and the figures included because that is the most common way to which Hispanic Heritage Month is referred, even when Latinx individuals from non-Spanish speaking countries in Latin America are honored during this month.

As an educator, I know language and the precision and care with which we use it is very important, so if you would like me to add a version of these posters using the term Latinx Heritage Month instead of Hispanic Heritage Month to my store, you are welcome to contact me via the Q and A feature or at socialstudiesaloft@gmail.com.
