"My Body Helps Me Know How I Feel" is a book aimed at helping children to learn about their body sense (interoception)

These can be tricky concepts to learn about, but are worth the time as they help us to notice & understand more about our emotions.

I created this book when I couldn't find an entry level, simple book appropriate to the youthful learners I'd been supporting. I wanted them to be able to start with simple concepts and body-based interactive choices to help them understand the ideas.

This is a deliberately simple book and ideal for learners from about 2-7 years old, with extension into early teens where developmentally appropriate. I've chosen the people in the book to look around 4-12years old as know children who have a broad range of ages, interests & support needs.

- The beginner topics chosen are: hands, temperature, feet, speed, voice, volume, & heart, plus plenty of space for feelings questions & discussions. Starting with these more obvious senses really helps to enter into this tricky topic

- It's designed so you can choose to cut-off and use the interactive visual choice strips separately, or keep them on the bottom of each page

- It's a great book to laminate & interact with, but it works equally well on a digital device / ipad / screen
