Description

Interactive review of the Introductory Physics Unit III "Newton's Laws" zip file folder. The program reviews different forces and their effects; Newton's Three Laws of Motion; momentum and universal forces. Questions include 20 true/false; multiple choice and text entries/responses. A printable PDF file can be generated from the program that can also be used as a worksheet or as an informal assessment.

PowerPoint lessons contain many graphics and at least two links to short videos to further student understanding. PowerPoint slides also contain notes for the instructor based on students most "frequently asked questions" or FAQ's to help clarify the subject. A class activity is included at the end of each lesson.
* All PowerPoint lessons; ActivInspire programs; student note sheets/activities and assessments for this unit can be found under the "Introductory Physics Complete Unit III Newton's Laws" zip file folder.

Follow precisely a multistep procedure when carrying out experiments, taking measurements, or performing technical tasks.
Determine the meaning of symbols, key terms, and other domain-specific words and phrases as they are used in a specific scientific or technical context relevant to grades 6–8 texts and topics.
Integrate quantitative or technical information expressed in words in a text with a version of that information expressed visually (e.g., in a flowchart, diagram, model, graph, or table).
Compare and contrast findings presented in a text to those from other sources (including their own experiments), noting when the findings support or contradict previous explanations or accounts.
By the end of grade 10, read and comprehend science/technical texts in the grades 9–10 text complexity band independently and proficiently.
