January Write the Room Activities for MLK Jr., Polar Animals, Forest Animals

• 12 or 16 mini posters in both color and blackline with word labels

• 3 or 4 response/recording sheets

• extension page to write original sentences and illustrate

The January Write the Room Bundle is a great addition to your classroom literacy centers. Students search the room for the 12 or 16 thematic pictures and then write the words on one of the response sheets.

The activity can be easily differentiated by choosing among the response sheets. There is an extension page for writing sentences and drawing a picture. Kids love to use clipboards and pencils when they circulate the room to find the cards.

An alternate strategy is to keep the cards in a basket and use them as task cards for the same activities.
