What educators are saying

This is a very thorough activity for my students in library! I love how well each lesson is laid out and the different activities offered for each story
This resource has saved me so much time. The extra internet options and paper activities are such a huge time saver. The story options are spot on.

    Description

Do you want to engage your kindergarten students in fun, standards-based library storytime activities? This bundle provides 9 months of school library lessons that your young students will love for Fall, Winter, and Spring!

    This useful bundle includes:

    • 4-page Lesson Plan template, adjustable for each lesson
    • Recommended book lists for each theme
    • A play dough mat activity for each theme
    • 2 coloring pages for each theme, one with color by code
    • 48 drawing pages, showing the book titles from the recommended book lists
    • 1 drawing page per theme, to use with any book
    • 4 spring themes (bugs, rain, chicks, and plants)
    • 4 autumn themes (apples, books, pumpkins, and squirrels)
    • 4 winter themes (cookies, penguins, snow, and friends)

Your can use this printable lesson plan and activity product with books that you already have, related to these seasonal themes. Or you can purchase the recommended titles or borrow them from your public library.

The lesson plan template explains how to use each of the 12 themes for a month of library storytime lessons with your kindergarten students. It includes extension ideas, for longer library times.

I like to use the drawing pages with the book covers on them. This shows parents, administrators, and classroom teachers exactly what we are reading together. Often, parents are looking for book suggestions to read at home. This is an easy way to communicate your book recommendations to parents.

This is a printable PDF file. You will not be able to edit the file that you purchase and download.

Here's what other customers have said about this helpful, money-saving bundle:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "My Kindergarten students absolutely love these when I bring them out. They like being able to draw and color a sheet to go with a story. Sometimes instead of a free drawing I will show a how to draw video to go along with the story. These have been a great addition to my lesson. " (Thank you, Jennifer D.!)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"As a first year librarian (I was in the classroom for 24 years in 4-5 grades) this was such a tremendous help. I had NO idea what to do for the little ones. They have loved the books (or books similar if I couldn't find the ones on the list) and enjoyed the coloring activities that go with the books. I am so very happy I purchased this." (Thank you, Kristen R.!)
