What educators are saying

I love how many skills are covered in this bundle to help assist students with number recognition and representation
My students required a more basic foundation this year. This was a great resource to start from the beginning. I used this in conjunction with writing the date each day.

    Description

This bundle contains 9 full-length resources for learning about numbers and counting. They are aligned to kindergarten math standards.

    Includes:

    UNDERSTANDING NUMBERS TO 10

This is a set of math centers for exploring the number ten and the number bonds that make ten. These activities build number sense and understanding ten as a benchmark number.

    KINDERGARTEN NUMBER OF THE DAY

This is a set of daily activities for developing number sense. Includes posters, 60 worksheets, and digital activities. Skills include tracing and writing, number recognition, quantity recognition, counting, counting on, one more/one less, using a number line, using a tens frame, place value, and more!

COLOR BY CODE NUMBERS TO 10

These color by code worksheets are a fun way to practice counting up to 10. Students count the arrangement of dots in each section of the picture. Then they find the corresponding numeral on the coloring key to determine what color to use on that section. Includes 8 coloring pages, answer keys, and digital version.

    NUMBERS & COUNTING CENTERS

This is a set of dominoes match-up games. These activities are designed for independent centers or small group work. Includes counting objects, number recognition, ten frames, and ten partners.

NUMBERS TO 20 "I HAVE, WHO HAS" GAME

This is an "I HAVE, WHO HAS" designed for kindergarteners. It helps build number and quantity recognition for numbers 0-20. Each card shows a number modeled with a pair of ten frames. Students must be able to recognize the number shown as well as read a numeral for the next card.

NUMBERS 1 TO 10 MINI BOOKS

Each “Little Book” contains 9 pages that show different ways to represent the number: word form, tens frame, tally marks, dice, money, number line, etc.

    COUNT, TALLY, GRAPH

This is a set of 4 sorting, counting, and graphing activities for kindergarten. Each activity has a set of picture cards for students to sort and count. Then, complete the recording sheet by matching the correct set of tally marks to the objects and coloring in a simple bar graph to show the number. These activities involve matching, sorting, counting objects up to 5, representing numbers, cutting, and pasting.

NUMBERS 1 TO 10 SORTING AND MATCHING

This is a set of sorting and matching cards for numbers one to ten. Each number is modeled in different ways, giving students the opportunity to recognize and match numbers in their various forms: number, word, base ten block, ten frame, tally marks, number line, dominoes, and finger counting.

SUBITIZING, NUMBER RECOGNITION, AND COLORS BINGO GAME

This is a whole-group Bingo game for learning to count objects and identify colors. Each slide of the presentation shows a set of smiley faces (up to 5). Students will count them and also determine what color they are. They will mark the matching number on their bingo card. This is a tricky skill because they need to match two attributes at once.

    Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each composition or decomposition by a drawing or equation (e.g., 18 = 10 + 8); understand that these numbers are composed of ten ones and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
