WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE?

⇨ 10-page PowerPoint Presentation: Show a vibrant Powerpoint to your students to introduce concepts like longitude, latitude, grid map, coordinates, Prime Meridian, International Dateline, and Equator.

Accompanying Worksheets: As you engage them in this powerpoint, they can fill out the accompanying worksheet - the worksheet matches the order of the PowerPoint! To conclude the lesson, students are shown a map (both on the Powerpoint and on their worksheet) and asked to identify the letter that is placed at given coordinates.

My Country on a Grid Map Project: Students are given a blank grid map. They need to draw a country, label cities, lakes, and places to visit. Then, they will find the coordinates of the places that are labeled. This project is fun for your students, and a great way for you to check their understanding of this challenging concept!
