Description
Measuring Length Math Stations
This second grade length math station set is a no frills all action product meant to cement students' knowledge of using measurement tools and concrete objects to find the length of objects for standardized testing. All ten of the activities included were created entirely in black and white to save on colored ink, and make for easy use of the copy machine.
I use these activities in class and with my testing study group after school.

It was created with the following standards in mind:
TEKS
2.9A find the length of objects using concrete models for standard units of length
2.9D determine the length of an object to the nearest marked unit using rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, or measuring tapes
2.9E determine a solution to a problem involving length, including estimating lengths
Common Core
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.MD.A.1 Measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.MD.A.3 Estimate lengths using units of inches, feet, centimeters, and meters.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.MD.A.4 Measure to determine how much longer one object is than another, expressing the length difference in terms of a standard length unit.

All of the activities included are designed to be used to fill in any gaps that students may have understanding how to use measurement tools and concrete objects to find length.
