What educators are saying
My students absolutely love these! They have been very engaged with our latest unit and this has been a wonderful additional resource to the unit.
My students absolutely LOVED the hedgehog life cycle. In addition to their unique naming (hoglets), they loved how they fold up. These are such great alternatives to spinners.

Description
This science bundle is a set of 9 life cycle foldable sequencing activities. These cut-and-paste printables are a fun alternative to a worksheet and are differentiated so you can use the templates that are best suited to your learners.
Use them for your seasonal science centers, interactive notebooks, or year-round learning about animal and plant life cycles.
The templates cover a variety of animal groups, as well as the life cycle of a plant.
- Plant - bean
- Mammal - hedgehog
- Bird - owl
- Fish - clownfish
- Reptile - sea turtle
- Amphibian - frog
- Insect - dragonfly
- Worm - earthworm
- Arachnid - spider
Instructions for students, including picture guides showing where to fold, are included.
Benefits of these activities:
- Low prep
- Children learn about life cycles in a fun and hands-on way, that’s a bit different from a standard science worksheet.
- Can be used to introduce the life cycle, or as a review/assessment to check understanding.
- Encourages fine motor/scissor skills, hand-eye coordination (folding), and sequencing.
- Differentiated options allow for multiple age ranges or abilities to do the same activity.
- Finished foldouts can be inserted into an interactive notebook where they can be referenced by children.
US and UK paper sizes included. The templates are not editable.

Develop models to describe that organisms have unique and diverse life cycles but all have in common birth, growth, reproduction, and death. Changes organisms go through during their life form a pattern. Assessment of plant life cycles is limited to those of flowering plants. Assessment does not include details of human reproduction.
