Listening with my Heart Book Companion Activity Positive Self Talk & Compassion

This elementary school counseling activity is a companion activity for Gabi Garcia's book, Listening with my Heart. Students practice listening with their hearts and determine if statements are okay to say to a friend. If statements are not okay to say to a friend, they are not okay to say to ourselves because we should treat ourselves like a friend! This activity can open a discussion about self talk and treating oneself with compassion.
