Hands on phonics craft that helps students review Long U u_e, ui, ew and ue! This supplemental phonics sorting activity provides great review and can be completed whole group or small group. It is appropriate for first or second grade students practicing this skill. Great practice with cutting and glue. Students look at the pictures to sort each of the long u pictures and words on the correct space.
Great to use for phonics review to review spelling patterns.
Craft directions:
1) Cut out both glue bottle pages and cut around the glue bottle tip.
2) Color then cut out each picture and word.
3) Glue the picture and word together under the correct long u spelling.
4) Put glue on the top of the glue bottle sheet where it says, ‘glue here’. Place the other glue bottle on top and fold to make the sheet lift.
5) Glue the top on the bottle!
