Being an African American woman myself, there was NO WAY I was just going to let February slide by without doing something special for Black History Month. Giving students worksheets, or read them a book about an important African American figure in history is okay; but I wanted to do more. I wanted it to be meaningful and engaging… something my students would remember for years to come.
These Black History Month plays for elementary students were the main attraction that got all my families, for three straight years, excited to see their child preform. I was so proud of my students that day!!!
