Students love learning about Mount Rushmore, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln by completing this STEM challenge! Video links are included to teach students about the history of Mount Rushmore as well as mini biographies of each of the presidents. Designing and building a model of Mount Rushmore helps solidify the lesson in a hands-on way!

This activity helps students develop critical thinking and engineering skills. Students plan, design, and execute their own ideas. After they have completed their activity, there is time for reflection on what worked and what didn't.
