What educators are saying

My students loved having this as a task during guided math time! We decorated the door for Halloween and practiced fluency of facts.
My kids loved this activity--they were extremely motivated to complete the requirements I set in order to do this fun project. The string of ghosts hanging up now in my classroom is a source of pride for many of my students.

Description

Students multiply 3-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers in this math activity that doubles as Halloween classroom décor. Each math pennant is in the shape of a ghost. The multiplication problems on each pennant vary in difficulty allowing you to easily differentiate.

Once a pennant is complete, it can be hung along a string in your classroom to show the world that, "Hey, we know how to multiply!"

Included are 30 ghost pennants with 3x2-digit multiplication problems, 2 additional "blank" ghost pennants to write your own multiplication problems, an optional student answer sheet and an answer key.

Each group of students can be given a set of pennants, scissors and either glue, tape or a stapler. Students can be in charge of cutting out the pennants. Groups can compete to see which group can complete the most pennants or your entire class can add pennants to one string as they complete each one. You may also choose to have your students color their pennants to add to your classroom décor.
