Description

Multisyllabic words worksheets great for literacy centers and phonics practice! These worksheets focus on words with 2, 3, and 4 syllables. Roll and Read pages are great for practicing fluency with multisyllabic words. Students will practice compound words, 2 syllable words, 3 syllable words, and 4 syllable words. Tap the syllable cards is a great multi sensory activity for seeing and hearing the syllable division. Sorting cards can be used as a great activity during center time. Also, included is a poster in color and black and white.

This pack includes 10 student worksheets, 4 Roll and Read Fluency pages (compound words, 2 syllable words, 3 syllable words, and 4 syllable words), 18 tap the syllable cards, 2 posters (1 black and white and 1 color) and a sorting activity for students to read and sort words into 2, 3, or 4 syllable columns.

The worksheet descriptions are:

1) Color by Code

2) Color the # of syllables - 2, 3, or 4

3) Say the word that represents the picture - fill in the correct syllable count

4) Count the Syllables - Write 2, 3, or 4 on the line

5) Draw lines to Divide the syllables (2 worksheets)

4 Roll and Read Fluency Pages

Students will roll a die. Find that number column and read the words in that column. This is a great activity for higher vocabulary words for students who are ready. Great activity with a partner to help each other decode multisyllabic words.


18 Tap the Syllable Cards

Students will look at the picture on the card and say its name. They will place their finger on each circle as they say each syllable in the word. Great decoding strategy for struggling students.

Sort Cards:

Students will sort the cards under the correct column of 2, 3, or 4 syllables.
