Description

Did you know that fish feel pain, just as dogs and cats do? Or that rats giggle when they’re tickled? These are just some of the things that your students will learn as they complete TeachKind’s grammar packet.

Nouns and verbs are some of the basic parts of speech that we use to express a complete thought. So it’s important for students to be able to recognize them. Why not foster compassion in students while having them practice identifying these classes of words?

These worksheets are geared toward 1st through 3rd grades and are great for English Language Learners, too!

Have students complete these worksheets to identify nouns. Use TeachKind’s feature “Nouns: Animals Don’t Belong in the ‘Thing’ Category” to help reinforce the concept that animals aren’t inanimate objects.
