Orton Gillingham inspired open and closed syllable games and activities great for literacy centers and phonics practice! This comes with 3 games.
1) Help Pig find his pig pen!
Instructions: Spin spinner with paper clip and pencil. Students move to either open or closed syllable word. First student to the finish wins!
2) Task Cards
Instructions: Print and cut task cards. Student will look at the word on the card. Use the recording sheet to mark o for open syllable and cl for closed syllable. The number on the card should match the number on the recording sheet. (Includes black and white)
3) Syllable Word Cards
Instructions: Print and cut cards. Students will match up the correct syllable ending to its picture. You can have them do this with a partner and tell if it is open or closed. (Includes black and white)
