Description
Looking for a solid set of guided notes on the various types of angles? You have found it! These guided notes (print and digital) and worksheets will help your students understand and visualize the different types of angles that exist with parallel lines and a transversal. Use this Google Slides resource for distance learning!
Please take a look at the preview to see all that is included!
Students will shade the indicated angles along with completing the guided notes. This resource includes two half pages of guided notes on the following types of angles:
• complementary
• supplementary
• vertical
• adjacent
• corresponding
• alternate interior
• alternate exterior
Students can use colored pencils in order to shade the various angles. Once the angles have been color coded, the guided notes are a helpful visual representation of each type of angle. As students deepen their understanding of the various types of angles, they can reference the guided notes. The notes can be glued directly into the students notebooks.
For more angle exploration, students can use a second set of notes to construct and identify angles. Students are asked to list the attributes of the various angles. Space is provided for students to follow directions in order to create the different types of angles. Students can benefit from using colored pencils to highlight the different types of angles.
Two additional worksheets are related to the guided notes. One worksheet has students shade and identify the angles listed. The students are asked to highlight some angles and to identify the type of angles. The second worksheet provides practice with complementary and supplementary angles. Students are given four problems in which they will use a protractor to draw some complementary and supplementary angles.
Detailed answer keys are provided.
