Created by a certified reading specialist, this Poetry Unit is perfect to use with 1st and 2nd grade. It includes 20 ready-made mini-lessons aligned to CCSS. This unit is fun, engaging and offers many opportunities for students to extend their learning beyond the mini-lessons.

Students will love extending their learning about various types of poetry and poetry elements as they create their own poems throughout the unit. Through explicit instruction using the I Do, We Do, You Do format, students will gain knowledge of poetry with clear instruction.
