    Description

Explore the life cycles of 3 different pond creatures with these foldable sequencing activities. These printables are a fun alternative to a worksheet, and cover the life cycles of a frog, dragonfly, and mallard duck.

Use these activities to support lessons on pond life, life cycles, habitats, or seasonal changes.

For each animal, there is a set of differentiated templates, including those which allow for sequencing of simple words, or short descriptions of the life cycle stages.

Pictures showing how to fold are included for students.

    Benefits of this activity

    • Low prep
    • Children learn about life cycles in a fun and hands-on way, that’s a bit different from a standard science worksheet.
    • Can be used to introduce the life cycle, or as a review/assessment to check understanding.
    • Encourages fine motor/scissor skills, hand-eye coordination (folding), and sequencing.
    • Differentiated options allow for multiple age ranges or abilities to do the same activity.
    • Finished foldouts can be inserted into an interactive notebook where they can be referenced by children.

Versions with US and UK spelling are included. Please note, the templates are not editable.
