What educators are saying

My students loved this resource! The slides are amazing and easy to teach. My students loved the games.
These powerpoints making teacher grammar in a time crunch seamless and engaging. I love that there are teaching slides as well as slides for students to practice the skills on whiteboards. Exactly what I needed!

Description

Possessive Nouns - PowerPoint and worksheets.

Join Clean Class TV and learn how to form possessive nouns using apostrophes!

Common Core Standards Covered:
L.1.1.b: Use common, proper, and possessive nouns.
L.2.2.c: Use an apostrophe to form frequently occurring possessives.
L.3.2.d: Form and use possessives.

Students work through the interactive PowerPoint slides with their whiteboards and learn the different rules that determine the correct formation of possessive nouns. This PowerPoint simplifies this challenging language topic, all you have to do is click and teach!

Also included are six printables (including a flip flap book) to further reinforce and consolidate the use of apostrophes when forming possessive nouns. The printables are perfect for literacy centers or to send home for extra review.

PLEASE NOTE:
Teachers all over the world teach possessive proper nouns that end in -s differently (Chris changes to Chris’ or Chris changes to Chris’s). To cater for this difference I’ve created two PowerPoint and Printables sets. Set A (Chris’) and Set B (Chris’s). The sets are exactly the same except for the above-mentioned rule.

Included in your zip file:
Set A (Chris'):
37 Possessive Nouns PowerPoint slides
6 Possessive Nouns printables
Set B (Chris's):
37 Possessive Nouns PowerPoint slides
6 Possessive Nouns printables

Please note that you need to unzip this bundle in order for it to work.

Please download the preview. The preview will open in slideshow mode. The PowerPoint that you'll purchase is a regular PowerPoint (.ppt ).

Please remember to view the PPT in slideshow mode for the animation to work.
