Description
Introduce your students to prefixes using these bright popsicles and popsicle themed activities!
Included activities:
- Printable word strips to talk about word meanings, then add the colorful popsicles to the beginning of each word to demonstrate how the prefix changes the meaning!
- Colorful popsicle cut outs to use as a display, flash cards, and place before words written on sentence strips.
- Freeze-It Game: Students will listen to word meanings and find the prefix word to match it on their game boards, freezing it with a clear gem or plastic ice cube.
- Prefix popsicle partners: students will be given a popsicle with a prefix word or definition and try to find their partner.
- Prefix Pictionary and recording page
- Read, roll, and pop-it game for stations or small group (pop its will be needed for this game)
- Make your own prefix popsicle (doodle and write a definition for a given word)
