Description

Are you looking for some play money to use in your classroom, club, organization, or at home?

I needed printable cash for my personal finance class but none of the existing resources out there, including Monopoly money went up to high enough denominations to represent the real world.

This printable currency includes: 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, and 10000 notes to allow you to easily represent real world money situations with tangible cash. For example, I use this when explaining tax brackets and payroll tax with my students in the Visualize Tax Brackets Activity, and again in the Calculate Net Income Activity if students still need a visual aid to help them complete the calculations. I can see great applications for it in budgeting, cashflow tracking, and stock portfolio allocation too. In an elementary classroom this could be brought into different play activities where students can role play with money or work on number recognition. Classroom currencies are super fun to do and this could be a great way to give students practice at handling money in the classroom.

NOTE: the PDF file in this resource is black and white and I achieved the different colors by printing on different color sheets of paper and then trimming each sheet with a paper cutter.

Each sheet contains 24 copies of each bill.
