This Readers’ Theater is a great resource to use in your classroom to integrate reading and science. You can use it in many ways: small group activities, centers, or teacher table.

Readers’ Theater is one of the best tools to have students gain fluency, accuracy, and comprehension in reading. It also reinforces listening skills, and teamwork.

This package comes with 7 different scripts. You can use the first script “Landforms” to introduce the unit to the class. You would have to divide the class in 4 groups, and each group will represent one of the four characters.

The next six scripts are about individual landforms: valleys, mountains, hills, mesas, plains, and islands. They talk about their physical characteristics, natural resources, and their importance in humans’ lives.

All the scripts have four characters, so if you want to divide the class in groups of four, you can make these your science centers, or you can include them in your reading block.

I’m including comprehension question to check on understanding, and I’m providing some answering sheets with sentence stems for students to answer the questions in complete sentences.

This package has lots of vocabulary activities that will reinforce students understanding, and activities that could be used as assessments.

I’m a bilingual teacher so all my plays will be written in English and Spanish, but you can buy them separately in my store.

Hope you and your critters enjoy a little drama!
