Description

Teach kids to cope with divorce with this sorting activity on what we can and can not control about Divorce, separation, and changing families. Perfect for small group counseling for School Counselors to teach students to focus on what they can control about their parent's divorce. Includes a digital learning version for Google Slides.

Common problem kids face when going through a divorce is that they feel that the situation is completely out of their control, and this really bad thing is happening that they have no say in. This activity is meant to help them focus on what they can control in their life and help them feel like they are not totally powerless. This activity takes about 30 minutes to complete with a small or large group.

✨Includes:

Activity description including instructions/walk through of activity, objectives, materials, and ASCA standards.

►Circle of control poster.

►Boat of Control or Leave it out to sea SORT: what I can/cannot control about divorce. (completed and blank versions included)

►My Divorce Circle of Control (completed and blank versions included)

►Reflection page on what they will choose to focus on or let go of.

►Black and white version included.

▶️What mode should I use this in google slides?

This product is meant to be used in "edit" mode (not "presentation" mode). Edit mode is the only mode that allows drag & drop and writing in text boxes.
