Scientific Method Graphing Grass Lab

Students love sprouting their seeds and watching them grow while measuring to determine which watering solution will grow the tallest grass in this engaging scientific method lab! Included in this download are the following parts:

My students always enjoyed this lab because it requires them to work together to care for their grass while having fun taking measurements, collecting and keeping data and graphing. A great extension was talking about the limiting factors preventing the grass from growing a mile high! I have even used a similar project in my Algebra classes to teach plotting, graphing, lines of fit and extrapolation.
