Skip Counting Puzzles: Counting by 2s, 5s, 10s, and 100s

Skip counting is fun, but it can be challenging. These skip counting puzzles were created to give students hands-on practice with counting by 2s, 5s, 10s, and 100s. An editable file is also included allowing you to create your own counting patterns (keep reading for more information).

Use these puzzles in your small groups, as a fast finisher activity, as a warm up to your math lesson, or in a math center. There is no wrong way to use them.

Students can assemble each puzzle by matching up the skip counting pattern, or by using the picture as their guide. Once assembled, students should point to and read the skip counting pattern.

Prep is easy as 1-2-3:

• Print (card stock is recommended for durability)
• Laminate
• Cut

The pieces can be stored in a zip top snack bag, pencil pouch, or envelope.

This set includes 28 skip counting puzzles. The puzzles were created TWO to a page, to save paper and allow for ease in storing the materials once prepped.

There are 12 puzzles that count within 100:

• 4 Puzzles Counting by 2s (within 100)
• 4 Puzzles Counting by 5s (within 100)
• 4 Puzzles Counting by 10s (within 100)

There are 16 puzzles that count within 1,000:

• 4 Puzzles Counting by 2s (within 1,000)
• 4 Puzzles Counting by 5s (within 1,000)
• 4 Puzzles Counting by 10s (within 1,000)
• 4 Puzzles Counting by 100s (within 1,000)

Also included is an Editable PowerPoint file.

**WHAT DOES EDITABLE MEAN?**

This file will allow you to edit the puzzles to meet your needs. You can create your own skip counting patterns within this file.

You will be able to edit the labels and number patterns for each puzzle. You can change the font, font size, and font color. You CANNOT change or modify any of the images as they are locked down in accordance with the terms of use of the clip artist.
