I used this to review PEMDAS with my G/T class. Some of them could guess the answer due to the clue, but it did challenge them with others...and they liked the eclipse facts that went with each answer.
Description
Celebrate the 2024 Great American Solar Eclipse with this math activity for middle school and high school students!
Students simplify expressions using order of operations to reveal facts about the solar eclipse. Problems include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponents, and parenthesis.
Two printing options are provided:
- Worksheet: The following page is print & go!
- Full Page Sheets: These are great to hang around the room and have students visit each one to solve. A student answer recording sheet is included too.
Students do not need to solve the problems in order.
An answer key is included.
This worksheet is a great way to learn about the eclipse in math class.
