Prior to this assignment, students should have already reviewed or been taught about the integer rules and operations with fractions. I do go over them briefly in the video, but I recommend a full review of those. If you allow your students to use a calculator, then you do not need to worry about that!
This is the first lesson in my Equations and Inequalities Unit for Algebra 1!
