Description
This classroom guidance lesson is written for upper elementary. Students hear an Irish friendship blessing and work in cooperative groups to write their own! Lesson promotes social/emotional awareness by encouraging students to think about friends' feelings and things that they wish for their friends. This can also be used as an individual activity.
Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline, debrief, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), example, handouts, and objective assessment checklist.
I use this lesson with grades 3-5. The finished product makes a great St. Patrick's Day bulletin board!
