Study Skills and Note-taking

Basic study skills and note-taking strategies - use this tool at the beginning of the year or as a review/mid-course correction.

Included:
- a two-page summary of important components of good study habits
- a three-page handout explaining note-taking strategies
- a sample set of notes, based on the note-taking strategies handout, written in two-column (Cornell style) format
- a BINGO-type game for review of the main ideas related to study skills and note-taking.

For the BINGO game, students will fill in blank cards from a set of given phrases, affording students the opportunity to review the concepts covered in this lesson.

New and improved
A set of six pre-written BINGO cards is included for students with writing accommodations or those for whom the filling in of the game cards would be too challenging.
