What educators are saying

This song has been a great way to teach my 2nd graders regrouping. They will sing it when they are solving problems. It's so cute! Thank you!

Description

"Bigger Bottom, Better Borrow" is a 4 minute, karaoke style video, that students can sing along with to help learn basic subtraction, with borrowing. I wrote this song as a request by the second grade teachers at my school. Third grade also uses it.

It integrates music, math, reading, and video animation. You can use it as daily practice, part of a lesson, subtraction review, PE warmup, clean-up song, or just for fun.

The video can be played on an interactive whiteboard, computer monitor, iPod, iPad, etc.

The preview above is at a lower quality than the actual video due to size requirements.

Special note: Windows Media Player needs a free codec pack installed to play mp4 files. It is available online. I highly recommend the free VLC media player.
