This set of nonfiction reading comprehension passages with coordinating coloring pages is a collection of summer-related topics and images to keep children reading and making art all summer!

Each passage targets a critical reading comprehension skill. There are 3 reading levels for each reading passage. 8 passages with 3 levels, or each is a total of 24 passages available to you in this resource.

These passages have been selected from our 4 individual RC volumes to specifically target summer! You can see the individual volumes below:

  • Point of View – Tennis Ball “Billie Jean King”
  • Sequencing – Yo-yo “The Yo-Yo”

  • Context Clues – American Flag “Betsy Ross”

The fireworks image/reading is great to use for your 4th of July Activities / Independence Day activities.

The American Flag would be great to also use for 4th of July Activities / Independence Day activities or your Flag Day activities as well!

These coloring pages aren’t your standard color by answer pages. The final artwork will be as unique as the student that created it.
