What educators are saying

A great variety of problems. The recording sheet is very organized for students to show their work.
This resource was ready to go. I didn't have to make any modifications. Very happy with the organization of this resource and great visuals.

Description

Students write inequalities, graph inequalities, complete systems and determine which of given coordinate pairs are solutions to systems in this algebra activity.

For the GOOGLE Form version, I changed the graphing questions and the writing systems questions to multiple choice. I changed the questions asking which given coordinate pairs are solutions to check boxes so that students can choose more than one correct answer.

Included in: Algebra Activities Bundle

Questions on the cards include:

1: Write systems of inequalities from graphs (multi-choice in digital version)

2: Determine which points on a graph are solutions (check boxes in digital version)

3: Graph systems of inequalities (multi-choice in digital version)

4: Complete a system and determine if points are solutions (multi-choice and check boxes in digital version)

5: Figure out what is wrong ("Find the error") in a system. (long answer response)

The GOOGLE Form version is editable and mostly multiple choice (except for 2 open response questions 9A and 10A).

The digital answer key is built into the GOOGLE Form. Also includes printable student answer sheet and answer key. Includes both print + interactive digital versions.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Represent constraints by equations or inequalities, and by systems of equations and/or inequalities, and interpret solutions as viable or non-viable options in a modeling context. For example, represent inequalities describing nutritional and cost constraints on combinations of different foods.
Solve systems of linear equations exactly and approximately (e.g., with graphs), focusing on pairs of linear equations in two variables.
Graph the solutions to a linear inequality in two variables as a half-plane (excluding the boundary in the case of a strict inequality), and graph the solution set to a system of linear inequalities in two variables as the intersection of the corresponding half-planes.
