Description

Help foster a love of reading in your 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students with these creative Penguin and Snowman book report templates and craft activities. Your students will love sharing what they are reading while also digging into the elements of the story and story structure. With these seasonal and holiday book report crafts included you will have everything you need to keep your students responding to reading in a fun and engaging way. This seasonal book report template includes a Penguin Report and a Snowman Report.

Each of the seasonal or holiday book report templates and book report crafts includes a story structure graphic organizer to help your students recall the elements of a story they have read. These engaging book report craft activities help students focus on identifying elements in the story like title, author, setting, characters, beginning, middle, and ending. These seasonal book report templates can be used with any book you choose. Perfect for a whole class read-aloud, a small group book study, or for students to complete as part of a book they choose during independent reading.  These Seasonal Book Report template activities can be completed as a whole group, in a reading center, or as a small group activity for students to work on collaboratively.

Use the completed book report template or story structure worksheet as a bulletin board display or classroom “show what you know” wall. You will never need to search for another bulletin board idea! Instead, let your students' work be center stage while still adding some seasonal and holiday fun to your bulletin boards. Your students will love seeing their work on display.  It’s such a fun way to get your students excited about learning how to identify the story elements within a book.

See What Other Teachers are Saying About These Book Report Crafts:

⭐ Love this report form. They turned out so cute and the kids had fun being creative with the decorating. They made an awesome hallway display. I will make this an annual tradition in my first grade classroom.

⭐ My students loved doing this project. They bunny and basket turn out so cute. They make a great spring bulletin board display.

⭐ My students loved doing this activity. The scarecrow and turkey were fun for the students to use. Something different and fun!!! Will definitely use this resource every year!!!!

⭐ I gave this to my students as an activity to do on one of their remote days and they came back absolutely adorable! My students loved that it was a "break" from having to do their usual book report and that it (the penguin) was, "So cute!" Thank you.
