Anatomy of a Turkey (NO PREP!)

This activity focuses on the body system of a turkey. Students are provided body part names and descriptions. They must match these body parts with their correct location on the body of a turkey.

Selective Breeding to Create a "Super Turkey" (NO PREP!)

Students observe sets of turkeys with noticeable traits. They need to select turkeys with ideal features that should be chosen to reproduce, breeding favorable offspring.

Wildlife Conservation of the Wild Turkey Population (NO PREP!)

This activity involves analyzing and interpreting data that shows the changes in the wild turkey population. It focuses on how the population is affected by conservation measures.

Parade Balloons: What Makes Them Float?

Want to do a Thanksgiving lab? This investigation involves using helium balloons, string, and everyday objects to use as weights in order to determine how to allow a balloon to be suspended in mid-air, just a like the Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Colored Corn Kernels: Popcorn Prediction Experiment

Students heat up corn kernels to make popcorn! But first...they will use this lab worksheet to form a hypothesis and make observations about how food coloring will affect the color of the popped corn results!
