What educators are saying

I adapted this project to be a school building project. It had all of the parts I needed for students to plan, problem solve and present their finding to their peers.

    Description

Do you need the perfect STEM activity for the week(s) leading up to Winter Break or at any point in the year? This resource introduces the Engineering Design Process and walks students through it while designing a toy! Students will be following the steps of defining a problem (provided for you), researching, planning, developing, and testing the toy they created.

There are two themed options available for your class: one including Santa & his workshop -OR- a local toy company needing additional help to meet the needs for your students.

The planning pages can be differentiated for your different learners! The recording sheets range from beginning of Kindergarten to 5th grade skills. So it works for a variety of learners.

You will receive 2 products & google links to Slides. This gives you the option of what pages are best for your students, whether you teach multiple grade levels or work as a specialist seeing lots of grades at once.

This has been newly updated for distance learning classrooms to include a link to Google Slides!
