2. Transitions for Primary Essay Paragraphs
(This page is what I use on a more day to day basis when teaching writing and appropriate transitions for different places in primary level essays. This page also includes Transitions to Text Evidence and Evidence Elaboration)
3. Ways to Hook Your Reader
This is a compilation of Transition Words and Phrases used to help enhance a student's writing.
This single, easy-to-read handout includes transitions specific for the following categories:
Agreement/ Addition / Similar
Opposition/ Contradiction
Cause/ Condition / Purpose
Effect / Consequence / Result
Time/ Sequence / Chronology
Conclusion / Summary/ Restatement
Examples / Support / Emphasis
