What educators are saying

This is a great resource to use with the presentation - so thank you again for providing this for us with limited time to teach Social Studies!
I love using this resource for morning work. It really circles back on previous lessons, and helps them learn some S.S. facts that they should know, but don't necessarily have the time to learn in class.

Learning Objective

Students will complete a spiral review of U.S. History knowledge through a thirty week warm-up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

What is in the US History Warm Up?

This bell ringer or morning work resource is 30 weeks' worth of Monday through Friday US History questions that can be used as a warm up or bell ringer for the school year.

When Would I Use the US History Warm UP?

Great to use as a five minute, or less, introduction each day to United States history. Can be completed individually or whole class to serve as a conversation topic.

  • Transition to social studies by completing as a warm up
  • Get students settled in your classroom by using as a bell ringer
  • Review at the end of the year

I have given each student a copy, had them do it in their journals when the questions are displayed on the projector, or even just used it as a review question through conversation each day. It is up to you!

What happens if your students don't know the answers?

No problem! Use it as an opportunity to practice research skills by having students use their devices to find the answer.

What Are Teachers Saying About this US History Warm Up?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I use this as a bell ringer activity. The kids are becoming more familiar with places and facts as a result of having to look up information daily.

-Misty B.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is great way to start my online lessons. I have put it into my opening slides to use for distance learning. Questions are thought provoking enough for my students with learning challenges while providing opportunity to practice speaking and writing skills.

-Tammy W.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Use it as a daily spiral to challenge students, review, and to spark conversation!

-Sarah P.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a great resource to integrate writing and Social Studies and to also have students think critically.

-Marisa D.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love this resource! My students rush into class to be the 1st one to look up the daily questions. All students are learning and the discussions we have are priceless.

-Carla W.
