What educators are saying

This was a great way to practice linear equations and inequalities and was a perfect for the time of year! The students loved getting a chance to color them to use for decoration in the classroom for Valentine's Day...I think middle schooler miss getting to color! :)
Great resource for students to review graphing and then graphing inequalities. I used it as a fun activity for Valentine's Day, and the students loved seeing their work hung in our classroom.

    Description

Algebra students graph linear equations and inequalities on heart-shaped math ornaments that double as Valentine's Day math classroom décor. Once a pennant is complete, it can be hung along a string in your classroom to show the world that, "Hey, we know how to graph linear equations and inequalities!"

Included are 20 linear equations pennants and 30 linear inequalities pennants. There are also 2 additional inequalities pennants without inequalities for you to write your own. Each set of pennants comes with a student answer sheet and answer key.

Each group of students can be given a set of pennants, scissors and either glue, tape or a stapler. Students can be in charge of cutting out the pennants. Groups can compete to see which group can complete the most pennants or your entire class can add pennants to one string as they complete each one. You may also choose to have your students color their pennants to add to your classroom décor.
