Description

Visual schedules and calm-down areas have become a necessity for many classrooms. Using these two tools together can help when it comes to classroom management and SEL Support. With these tools, your students will be able to successfully handle their emotions and know what is expected of them.
By using the visual schedules a student will know what he/she must do first before being able to do the preferred activity.
An example would be First you must sit on the carpet with the class. Then you can play with the train. First, you must do your math, Then you can have the play-dough.
The Calm Down area provides students with a safe space to control their feelings and emotions. This area lets students compose themselves before returning to engage with the rest of the class.
