Description

Trying to figure out a way to keep those always inevitable "no-homework students" on track this year?? Or maybe you're looking for a quick and easy way to keep students and parents accountable for weekly homework assignments without the use of an agenda? Well, you're in luck!!!!

This EDITABLE Weekly Homework Tracker is ideal for those few students who fall into the habit of not completing all of their homework assignments on a daily basis. It can be used as a Tracker for only these students, but it can also be used as a Homework Tracker for ALL of your students in the absence of an agenda/planner!

This version of the Tracker is editable so that you can change it to whatever subject you like, add your name and class, and change the wording! If you want a FREE generic version that requires no editing, check out my ready-to-go generic Tracker here!

I work in a school where homework completions are a big challenge. I created this Tracker last year when I had a class with a handful of students who were having a difficult time completing their homework assignments each night. We had great incentives in place for whole-class homework completions, but even so, these students still had trouble getting it done. When I implemented these Trackers for the few students who were consistently missing homework assignments, I saw a dramatic change in my overall homework turnout. It is also great to have as "proof" at the end of the semester/year for principals who want to see your effort!

To implement these Trackers in your classroom, simply print for whichever students you have determined need them. Have a chat with the student to explain the expectations and determine a goal to meet in order for them to "get off" the Tracker. Usually I will give my students 2 weeks of proven homework completions before they can stop using their Tracker. Then, fill out the student's name and dates of the week, fill out for Monday and check each day of the week for the signature as well as the assignment. Continue to add the assignment each day. At the end of the week, collect the Tracker to keep for your records and watch your homework turnout dramatically increase!!!

Happy homework tracking!!!! :)
