What educators are saying

This was a fun little activity to introduce tempo and have students listen and identify. They enjoyed it!
My kids LOVE these engaging interactive assessments! They love to watch the tigers, lovebugs or whatever the theme with their successes AND failures! Such easy assessments!

Description

Looking for an engaging winter music activity for your elementary music lesson that will reinforce aurally identifying the music opposite fast and slow? This digital resource is an excellent addition to your winter music lesson plans or anytime you are working on tempo. Plus, it is compatible for tablets and Web Browsers. Engaging music game for centers, whole group instruction, music sub tubs or distance learning! Perfect addition to your Orff lessons and Kodaly lessons

The product contains 10 student interactive slides. Each slide has several sound effects and animations. Students will click on the snowman to hear a sound. They will then click on the word (fast or slow) that represents what they hear! Students will know immediately without leaving the page if they are correct. Watch their eyes light up as the snowman dances across the page trying to catch snowflakes when they are correct!

An assessment plus an answer key is included as a separate document and link so you are able to formally assess students on the concept in a later lesson. The assessment document includes:

★ 1 student test that will print one per page in B/W

★ An assessment key

★ A sample slide of the student test. Instead of playing the answer on an instrument just project the slide on your board and access the sounds by clicking on the snowman using the PowerPoint or the shared link!

The game was designed to be projected onto your SmartBoard, Promethian, Mimio or Interactive Whiteboard and will run on both PC and Mac computers using your default internet browser. It is also compatible for tablets! In addition, the PowerPoint version of the game has been included in the purchase as another option for utilizing the product. Until TpT supports this file type I have stored the data files on a separate server which allows the graphics and sound effects to remain secure. You will be able to access the game and assessment via a provided link. Upon purchase please read the document titled "1 READ FIRST INFORMATION" for detailed instructions.

Feel free to check out the preview which is a sample of the PowerPoint version of the product. TpT has size restrictions on previews and I am unable to offer a preview of the Web Browser version of the product. If you would like to see it please email me at McPhersonsMusicRoom@gmail.com and I will be more than happy to accommodate you.
